5 Common Habits you must stop for the sake of your Skin and Hair


We all have some habits that we do without even thinking about them. Some of these habits are harmful for your skin and hair and you must stop these habits to prevent your skin and hair from damage. These are as:

  • Plucking hairs without  holding down your skin:

Firstly we should not pluck our hairs and if you do so, make sure you are holding down the skin right next to the hair you want to remove before you pull it.

  • Scratching your head with your nails:

People often scratch their head when they have itchy scalp. If you dig too deeply, you can infect the scalp, and a scalp infection. If your scalp is itchy it is a good idea to get it checked out by an expert doctor and find a solution.

  • Picking the skin around your nails:

If you pick the skin around your nails, you can develop minor cuts and these cuts can get infected which will be bad for your health. So you should stop this habit immediately.

  • Frequently rubbing your eyes:

The area around the eyes is the most sensitive part of your skin because it is so thin and if you rub this area again and again, it will to abrasions. Aggressive rubbing can also lead to darkening of skin around the eyes.

  • Slicking down your hair:

Constantly slicking your hair into tight styles can cause traction alopecia, which is hair loss from tension.
